Does it seem like just
yesterday you were a freshman entering the world of high school?
Believe it or not, it is now time to think about the next exciting phase of
your life. COLLEGE!!!
The National College Fair program is a FREE opportunity
for you and your family to meet with representatives from colleges and
universities throughout the country and the world without actually leaving
your home state. There won’t be enough time to visit with every college and
university at the fair, so we have listed some suggestions on how to use
your time most effectively.
Ask your guidance
counselor or visit the National Association for College Admissions
Counseling on the web at www.nacacnet.org.
Your preparation before the fair is very important.
1.
Answer the following questions to help determine what kind of school
would best suit you.

·
How far from home do you want to go?
·
Do you wish to participate in any specific extra-curricular
activities or athletics?
·
Do you want to attend school in an urban, suburban, or rural
environment?
·
Do you require any special services? (i.e. tutoring, note
takers, readers, TDD, interpreters?)
2.
Discuss your college plans with your guidance counselor, family,
teachers, and friends.
3.
Research your colleges of interest on the internet and in your
guidance office/library.
